HOPKINS STUDENTS COME FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO CREATE A VIBRANT, CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY.
Your time at Hopkins will be shaped by the connections you make and the relationships you build. Our students inspire each other to have new experiences, use their voices for the greater good, and grow as individuals as well as members of the community. Whether you’re hosting a game night in your residence hall or working with friends on a challenging problem set, student involvement is the pulse of our Homewood campus.

The First-Year Experience
Starting college can be a big transition. In addition to a week-long orientation, you’ll be assigned a First-Year Mentor–-an upperclassman who will help you learn your way around Hopkins. In the classroom, First-Year Seminars provide a welcoming learning environment, so you can build relationships with faculty who are invested in your intellectual journey from day one.
Susan Y., '20I’ve made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. The Student Involvement Fairs, club flyers in the Breezeway, and all the campus events make getting involved here fun and easy.

Homewood Campus
The Homewood campus is where you’ll call home. It has a traditional college feel, with red-brick buildings and large, grassy quads. And it’s within walking distance of big-city amenities, like renowned museums and restaurants.

Hopkins Athletics
From football to fencing, athletics at Hopkins amplifies school spirit. You’ll find current students cheering on their fellow Blue Jays in “The Nest” at Homewood Field, or getting involved in club and intramural sports like Ultimate Frisbee and rugby.
Diversity & inclusion
We’ll encourage you to explore and express your identity while celebrating others. Your experiences here will expand your understanding of the world and help you see new opportunities—because diverse perspectives open our minds to what’s possible.

Discover Charm City
Baltimore is an extension of our Homewood campus. Our students explore the city, meet their neighbors, take part in local events, and seek out ways to get involved with the community around them.
