Your network of opportunities start at the Homewood campus and span the globe.

Located in Baltimore City, Homewood is where undergraduates at the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences and Whiting School of Engineering live and study. It has a traditional college feel, with red-brick buildings and grassy quads, and it’s just minutes away from Baltimore’s vibrant art and food scenes. There’s a free shuttle to other campuses, giving you even more freedom to make connections and explore all the Hopkins network has to offer.

Hopkins Student Center

Our new student center is coming in 2024. It’ll include a food market with multiple vendors, plenty of open seating, a studio theatre, sound-treated rooms for music practice, rehearsal rooms with sprung floors, the Digital Media Center, a gaming lounge, and the Student Engagement Hub.

Gilman Hall

One of the oldest buildings on the Homewood campus, Gilman Hall is home to the humanities. It also houses our own archeological museum and a storied clock tower that’s an iconic part of campus.

Levering Hall

Levering Hall is a popular spot for lunch dates, coffee breaks, or study sessions by the fireplace. Students also have movie nights, DIY crafting classes, and other events in this space.

The Beach

Right near the main entrance of campus, you’ll find “The Beach.” While there might not be any sand here, it is a favorite spot for hanging out on a warm, sunny day. This is also where we gather for celebrations throughout the year.

Brody Learning Commons (BLC)

BLC is the go-to building for collaboration. With group study rooms, interactive projectors, and video teleconferencing capabilities, you have the space and technology for quality work and collaborative thinking.

Shriver Hall

Shriver Hall is where student-run speaker series, performances, and symposiums take place almost daily. It’s also home to the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra and student a capella and dance groups.

Housing & Dining Programs

Whether you’re spending time with floormates in a common area or sitting down to a meal with friends, residential life is a centerpiece of the college experience, and where lasting friendships and memories are made.

Applied Physics Laboratory (APL)

Hopkins undergrads can participate in research projects addressing future national priorities at the Applied Physics Lab in nearby Laurel, Maryland. APL provides critical contributions to systems engineering and integration, technology research and development, and analysis challenges.
