Holistic Admissions Overview
Wednesday, June 9 from 8-9 a.m. Eastern

In this session, we will provide an in-depth look at holistic review at a highly selective university. A member of our admissions committee will discuss how we evaluate academic character, impact and initiative in your community, and match with the university in our application process. We will also cover more specific admissions policies like our test-optional policy within the context of holistic admissions.

Personal Statement Workshop
Tuesday, June 15 from 8-9:30 a.m. Eastern

Whether you have so many ideas or don’t know where to start, we’ll help you make sense of writing your personal statement. By analyzing and comparing example personal statement excerpts, a member of our admissions committee will provide an inside view on the role of the essay within the college application and tips on how to start writing or improve on your first draft.

Learn how to use your experiences and passions to tell an authentic and cohesive story of who you are through the holistic admissions process. With guidance from our admissions committee, you can look forward to analyzing and comparing example essay excerpts and activities lists to learn how to make the most of different portions of your application and tell your own unique story.

We’ll analyze and compare Hopkins supplemental essay excerpts to understand the role of the supplemental essay and how to strengthen your own writing in the college application process. This session is best suited for students who will be applying for first-year admissions this school year.
