Whether you’re catching an Orioles game at Camden Yards or browsing the largest collection of Matisse paintings in the world, Baltimore’s vibrancy will stay with you long after your time at Hopkins. And because it’s so affordable and easy to navigate, many students choose to live here as they start their careers.

One of the best ways to get to know Baltimore is through its diverse restaurant scene. From the famous crabcakes and seafood to cooperative food markets, cuisines from around the world, and vegan fare, it’s got something for everyone.

A few blocks from campus, you’ll find theatres, music venues, festivals, and the renowned Baltimore Museum of Art. The nearby Station North neighborhood was nominated by USA Today as one of the nation’s 10 best arts districts.

Join the flock at a Ravens game, cheer on the incredible horses at the Preakness, or train for the Baltimore Marathon.

You may not have guessed it, but Baltimore is home to over 6,000 acres of parkland and 50 miles of trails. And because this vibrant city is so easily accessible by car, bus, and train, you’re able to take advantage of hiking, whitewater rafting, and more in the surrounding area.

At the Center of Everything

Baltimore has all the perks of a major thoroughfare, including easily accessible transportation. Our students regularly visit up and down the East Coast with the Amtrak and bus system. By car, we’re only 30 minutes from BWI Marshall Airport, 45 minutes from DC, two hours from Philly, and four hours from NYC.
