Health & Well-Being
Set yourself up for success.
College is just as much about personal growth as it is the academics. The next four years are the ideal time to create and sustain habits for a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Health Promotion and Well-Being is a center with programs, services, educational campaigns, leadership, and engagement opportunities that help you create these positive behaviors.
With your transition into greater independence comes natural learning curves like making new friends and figuring out time management. For that reason, Hopkins has an entire network of support available to students. Our Blue Jays have the tools to develop skills they’ll use as adults well beyond their time on the Homewood campus.
Your Mental and Emotional Well-Being
How you’re feeling is integral to your personal development. Mental Health Services is committed to helping students wherever they are through remote, phone, and in-person services.
Our Newly Renovated Recreation Center
Group exercise classes, fitness and weight rooms, a bouldering cave and climbing wall are among the many amenities available to our students for free.
Athletics & Recreation Virtual Tour
Discover our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, expansive sports fields, and vibrant recreational spaces from the comfort of your home.
Campus safety & security
We’re available 24/7 to ensure our students can confidently and safely enjoy all that Homewood and the surrounding areas have to offer—from our Blue Jay Shuttle Night Rides to our LiveSafe app that provides real-time communication between our Department of Public Safety and members of our community.
Your Physical Health
The Student Health and Wellness Center provides a broad range of primary care services including illness and injury, routine gynecologic care, travel consultation, allergy injections, immunizations, and many others. There’s even a “wellness-to-go” vending machine stocked with over-the-counter items priced for a college student’s budget.
Religious & Spiritual Life
Religious & Spiritual Life encourages students to be open-minded and open-hearted, and integrate the whole mind, body, and soul into their spiritual and ethical educational experiences. Mutual respect and understanding between different religious groups lay the foundation of our common goal to serve the Hopkins community.
Student-to-Student Support
A Place to Talk is a group of Hopkins undergrads who are trained to listen and respond without giving advice. If students want to discuss anything, from everyday frustrations to serious concerns, A Place to Talk provides a welcoming space to open up and explore solutions.
