How did you discover Hopkins? Why did you decide to apply Early Decision? I had heard of Johns Hopkins but only truly discovered it when I applied to its HOME+ Impact program. It helped me see how Johns Hopkins cares for its students and is working to be progressive as our world changes. Additionally, its focus on research and how it is known for encouraging medical students, assured me I would have every resource I need to become a psychotherapist.
What’s your best piece of college search advice for high school students? My advice would be to look beyond reputation and offered majors. Seeing the colleges’ communities and how the colleges’ do their best to encourage students will help someone fall in love with a school.
What fictional character do you most relate to or most closely represents you as a person? I relate to Historia Reiss from Attack on Titan. For a while, she didn’t have a clear path for herself. However, similar to my own experiments, Historia’s past and the great people she met all helped her towards her self-discovery. Because of that, both her and I learned I who we are and who we want to be.
What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of? (big or small!) I love making cosplay costumes and I am very proud of each one I create! Though there aren’t many places to wear them and they take a while to create, each time I make a new one, it becomes my greatest accomplishment. I’m always happy when I have time to make them.
