How did you discover Hopkins and why did you decide to apply? I remember that I discovered Hopkins online one day when I was scrolling the internet as one of the best pre-med and medical schools in the nation. After looking more into the school, I fell in love with almost every aspect: the numerous research opportunities, the student life, the supportive community of peers and professors, and the the fact that it was in Baltimore. After this, I visited the campus (and loved it). Because of all these factors, I knew Hopkins was for me and I had to apply.
What are you most excited for about college and/or coming to Hopkins? I am most excited about meeting people from around the country and around the world who all share a deep passion for learning. I am excited to learn about each others’ interests, and to grow as a student and person with my fellow classmates. After being dependent on my parents for most of my life, I am also excited to be independent and learn to live on my own (and roommate, of course). I can’t wait to meet other members of the Hopkins community, explore many opportunities on and off campus, and embark on the college journey together.
Complete this sentence: “I would not be here on this journey to Hopkins if it weren’t for ______________________” My family. This is because they have played such an important role in the successes I have had in all aspects of my life. From athletics and academics to life in general, my family has taught me lessons that apply to all situations I find myself in. Not only have they taught and guided me, but the have also pushed me to places I never thought I could reach.
