My first year at Hopkins has been nothing short of absolutely transformative. From seeing campus for the first time during move-in to different study spots and midnight birthday celebrations—my first year at Hopkins has been everything I expected and more.

Move in! My parents came to drop me off at Hopkins. I was so happy to have the people who guided me my whole life by my side as I started this new chapter.

There is no way this year’s recap would be complete without this picture of my friends. They have become my support system at Hopkins, and I am so grateful to have made so many beautiful memories this past year. From left to right: Nidhi, Shreyasi, Me, Sumaya, Shravani, Anjali, and Sindhu. They’ve really made this the best year ever!

Homewood in the snow! This was my first time experiencing snow, and it did not disappoint. It snowed a couple of times during the spring semester. Right before I took this picture, I was at office hours in Malone Hall and stepped outside just to be completely surprised.

Going to the Homewood observatory with friends. When I first came to campus, I had no idea there was a full observatory at the Bloomberg Center for Physics and Astronomy. When I found out the observatory has an open house every Friday, I knew I had to go.

100% my favorite thing to eat on campus: a fruit bowl from Niecy’s Fabulous Juice Bar at the Rec Center.

The vintage tech collection in Malone Hall. I took this picture right before attending a club meeting.

When my First-Year Seminar (FYS) professor showed the class a superconductor! At the end of FYS: The Science Behind Fiction, Professor McQueen took us to his lab and showed us a small superconductor (the small blue ball that’s floating, zoom in to see!). This was just one of many moments in my classes where I was in awe.

This year has been full of great memories and has made me super excited for what’s to come next.
