Joanna S.
Hi, I’m Joanna! I’m from New York City and I came to Hopkins because I couldn’t imagine not living in a city. As a chemical and biomolecular engineering major, I spend most of my time in a research lab on campus that ties nanotechnology and biotechnology together. You can also find me with a group of my closest friends anywhere with a whiteboard working together to solve problems. When I’m not learning about the chemical engineering problems that have mystified engineers for centuries, you can find me singing with Octopodes, hanging out with my friends in Alpha Phi Omega and Theta Tau, or getting to know my amazing residents in Wolman Hall. My favorite thing to do off campus is hunt for records at Sound Garden in Fells Point or get dinner at Paper Moon with my friends.
