Senior fly-in

Visiting campus is important to see if a university is right for you, and we want to give you and your family that opportunity. During this event, you and one guest will see how our first-generation and/or limited-income students find community, access support, and thrive academically and socially at Hopkins.

Detalles de la asistencia en viaje

We are providing travel assistance to all students admitted to Senior Fly-In. It is intended for students who identify as first-generation or come from a family with limited financial resources. Our goal is to bring students to campus who are considering Hopkins as their first choice and have not yet had the chance to visit in person or want to gain a deeper understanding of student life in our home in Baltimore.

We also recognize how important family is in the college search and application process and want to give them the chance to experience Hopkins too. For this reason, our program includes travel assistance for one parent or guardian.

Students accepted into this program will be provided transportation by train or plane to Baltimore on the afternoon/evening of Sunday, October 11, and return home on Monday, October 12, after the program.

  • Hopkins will provide hotel accommodation on Sunday, October 11. Per hotel policy, students are required to bring one parent or guardian with whom they can share a double bedroom.
  • Hopkins will cover travel by train or plane and on-campus meal expenses for both the student and their guest throughout the two-day program.
  • Hopkins se pondrá en contacto directamente con los estudiantes admitidos y facilitará y reservará todos los viajes. Los estudiantes NO deben reservar viajes por su cuenta, ya que no podremos reembolsárselos.
  • Students who choose to drive are still welcome to apply and may still use the provided hotel accommodations; however, no reimbursement will be available for driving expenses or travel to campus.

Students must currently live and/or attend school within the contiguous U.S. and Puerto Rico to be eligible. By application only.
