Fall Open House

Geared towards high school students, Fall Open House will show you what it’s like to study at a premier research and liberal arts university by connecting you with our current students and other community members.

7:30-8:15 a.m. ≫ International Admissions Overview
Hopkins students come from all around the world each year! Join members of our International Admissions staff as we discuss our holistic review process. We’ll talk about how we review all pieces of the application to identify applicants who are a good match for our community and provide tips for you as you craft your application.

8:30-9:30 a.m. ≫ Financial Aid 101 for International Citizens
Join us for an overview of the financial aid process at Hopkins, specifically geared toward International citizens and their families. Hear from our Student Financial Services team about how aid eligibility is determined, types of aid available, and strategies for covering college expenses. You’ll learn about our commitment to affordability and get your questions answered.

Learn what it means to study engineering disciplines at the nation’s premier research university, where our students create devices and systems that find solutions to the world’s greatest problems.

Research at Hopkins: How Humans Think and Communicate Through the Humanities
Learn what it means to study the humanities at the nation’s premier research university, where our students analyze how we communicate through writing, the arts, and film, and what that means for our history and our future.

Research at Hopkins: Molecules to Ecosystems in the Natural Sciences
Learn what it means to study natural sciences at the nation’s premier research university, where our students explore the frontiers of science to better understand human bodies, systems, and the world.

Research at Hopkins: Analyzing Governments, Communities, and Systems through the Social Sciences
Learn what it means to study social and behavioral sciences at the nation’s premier research university, where our students analyze the governments, communities, and systems that connect our world and shape our future.

12:15-1:15 p.m. ≫ Student Life Panels
Curious about what daily life is like for our undergrads? Join us for current student-led panels to learn more about student life! Each session will cover a different aspect of the student experience, from campus traditions to choosing your major to diversity and inclusion in the Hopkins community. There’s no better way to learn about the Hopkins experience than by listening to those currently living it!

1:30-2:30 p.m. ≫ Admissions Overview
Join members of our admissions staff as we discuss our holistic review process. We’ll talk about how we review all pieces of the application to identify applicants who are a good match for our community and provide tips for you as you craft your application.

We are hosting small, regional admissions overviews, which will give you the chance to ask questions and hear from admissions counselors who are most familiar with your region of the country or world.

Calling all parents, guardians, and caregivers! Wondering how you can help support your student during their college search? Hosted by members of our admissions committee, this event will cover the different aspects of the college search and application process your student will navigate, as well as advice for making their journey as smooth as possible.
