Why I chose Johns Hopkins: Although location and weather were huge factors in my decision-making process, the final straw was my parent's advice. The financial package also spiced up the deal.

What is the biggest difference between high school and Johns Hopkins that you have experienced? Freedom! I am studying what I want to study, engaging in activities that give me much joy, and living out my widespread interests.

Why I am glad I chose to attend Johns Hopkins: I am indebted to the experiences Hopkins has provided me with because they have truly allowed me to discover who I am (and who I want to be).

My ideal three-day weekend: I would spend it exactly the way I spent this past three-day weekend. On Friday night, my three girlfriends and I enjoyed homemade pizza. On Saturday, my boyfriend and I met up with friends and family at Six Flags America. On Sunday, my boyfriend and I went up to Delaware to spend another day with his family. On Monday, I had crew practice, took a nap, and studied for a midterm.

Where I see myself in 10 years: Probably on the sidelines of one of my kid's soccer games (meaning I will definitely be married with children). Honestly, I have yet to figure out how this is going to work with the usual timeline of a prospective medical student.

Three unusual things about myself:
  1. When I was in Korea as a kid on the U.S. military base, I was on my dad's shoulders. President George Bush Sr. rolled up in a car and told my dad I was cute.
  2. The best thing that can cheer me up is a crisp November evening.
  3. I seriously considered culinary school during my sophomore year at Hopkins. (I even spoke to my adviser, Dr. Goodyear, about it!).
