Hometown: Houston, TX Major/Minor: Public Health Studies (natural science concentration), Latin American Studies; premed Current residence: Off-campus Campus involvement: Sailing Club, Outdoors Pursuits, Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir Why I chose Johns Hopkins: I fell in love with the people here. I'm surrounded by people who perpetually support me in anything I want to do, no matter how random or crazy! Favorite class: Biochemistry and Cell Bio. Okay, so most people think those classes are like pulling teeth, but I love the subject matter and they have helped me a lot with my outside research. My favorite Johns Hopkins memory so far: When we won the 2007 NCAA lacrosse championship. We were all stoked, and it was so cool to be able to say, that's right, my school ROCKS. Favorite spot on the Homewood campus: I love walking down Wyman Park Drive on the back side of campus. One of my favorite things about Hopkins is that it is so easy to completely forget that you're in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the country. Where I see myself in 10 years: Currently, the plan is to get myself into medical school and eventually get my certification in aerospace medicine and work for NASA.
