Hometown: Hampstead, NH
Major/Minor: Physics, International Studies
Current residence: Wolman Hall
Campus involvement: Outdoor Pursuits, Hopkins Hosting Society, Blue Key Society
Why I chose Johns Hopkins: It is the perfect mix of city and campus. I love being a part of the city and yet still have an amazing campus.
Favorite class: Every one of them is so different. I really can't chose a favorite.
What myth about Johns Hopkins frustrates you the most? That it is cut throat. Yes, the school is tough, but I haven't met one classmate who wasn't willing to help someone out with a problem.
Favorite spot on the Homewood campus: The Beach. It is just across the street from my building, so I will go out there and read for a few hours. Plus, there is usually always something going on there, like the time I helped spell out "Marry me?" for a man who was flying above with his girlfriend to propose to her.
Why I am glad I chose to attend Johns Hopkins: I have met some really amazing people here. I experience something or meet someone new every day. It's just wicked awesome.
Three unusual things about myself:
- I have hiked up a volcano.
- I am an only child.
- This isn't unusual, but I am really into politics.
