Hometown: Owings Mills, MD
Major/Minor: Biomedical Engineering major; Psychology and Mathematics minors
Current residence: Charles Commons
Campus involvement: Shakti, CSC Dance Volunteer, SHARE, Spring Fair, South Asian Society of Hopkins
Why I chose Johns Hopkins: I grew up in Baltimore, so I've constantly heard about how prestigous a university Johns Hopkins is, and after I visited campus, I fell in love with how beautiful it is.
Favorite class: Models and Simulations. It's a biomedical engineering class that incorporates calculus, differential equations, linear algrebra, physics, chemistry, and biology.
What is the biggest difference between high school and Johns Hopkins that you have experienced? In high school, everything had a set time. In college, it's very different. It's pretty much up to you to decide when you have time to study and have fun.
Why I am glad I chose to attend Johns Hopkins: I love Hopkins because of the vast opportunities I have. Johns Hopkins has so much to offer!
My ideal weekend: Baltimore is in the middle of so much. I would definitely spend one day in Washington D.C. and another day at the Inner Harbor.
Three unusual things about myself:
- I got to go to Vatican City and sing for the Pope.
- I entered college when I was 16.
- On my way back to America from vacation they deported me to India, no joke!
