How will the credits I have earned at my current school be evaluated?
After you enroll at Johns Hopkins, an official credit evaluation is performed by the Office of Academic Advising (Arts & Sciences) or the Office of Academic Affairs (Engineering). To receive credit for courses, you must have earned a grade of C or above in courses comparable in content to those offered at Johns Hopkins. Only courses taken at an accredited college or university are accepted. Accepted students will have the opportunity to contact their Office of Academic Advising for a preliminary credit evaluation prior to enrollment.
Where would I live?
In accordance with our residency requirement, new sophomore transfer students will be required to live in university housing unless residing with a parent or legal guardian. In addition, Johns Hopkins owns residence halls and apartment buildings to accommodate junior transfer students who desire university-owned housing. Placement of transfer juniors is based on space availability at the time. Units range in size from suite-style double rooms to single rooms within suites/apartments. All rooms/units are fully furnished and utilities are included. There is also an abundance of privately owned, off-campus housing, many within walking distance to campus. Upon admission as a transfer student, you will be contacted by a representative from the Department of Housing and Dining, who will provide you with information regarding your different housing options.
