Johns Hopkins accepts applications in several different formats. Please choose only one method of applying and read instructions for application requirements carefully. See our Deadlines and Requirements page for a full list of requirements or our Frequently Asked Questions section for detailed information.
Freshman candidates can apply with the Universal College Application (online at www.universalcollegeapp.com or downloadable below) or Common Application (online at app.commonapp.org or downloadable below). Students should submit their application and Johns Hopkins Supplement using the same method; both forms should be either submitted online or mailed.
How did Johns Hopkins senior Neha Deshpande conduct research that took her from Baltimore to India? The Truman Scholar compared neonatal health in the two countries with help from a Woodrow Wilson Undergraduate Research Fellowship, a monetary award of up to $10,000 that is granted to incoming freshmen in the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. It's just one of many opportunities for students to engage in hands-on learning with a faculty mentor at Johns Hopkins. Learn more and apply at krieger.jhu.edu/woodrowwilson.
Both the Universal College Application and Common Application require a Johns Hopkins Supplement (online through each application site or downloadable below).
Early Decision candidates must sign and submit the Early Decision Agreement found in whichever application they have chosen to use to apply.
Transfer candidates must apply by using the Common Application and Johns Hopkins Supplement.
In all cases, the $70 nonrefundable application fee is due, by check or money order (do not send cash) payable to Johns Hopkins University, or by credit card if applying online. You may also submit a College Board fee waiver form, a NACAC fee waiver form, or a need-based fee waiver request from your high school guidance counselor.
